The end of the year is coming up fast but we still have a lot of Cub Scouting ahead of us. There are a few things I want to point out and make sure that you have on your schedule.

The March 11 Pack meeting will be a very special one for our pack. We will say good bye to our Webelos II’s as they cross over to a Troop. There will be a special ceremony that I encourage you to attend. We’ll also be saying goodbye to long-time leader and former Cubmaster Scott Phillips who will be moving to Troop 95. He’s not going far.

Our spring campout will be the weekend of April 13-15. We don’t have a location just yet but should be posting information soon.

There will be no pack meeting unless the campout gets rained out. If there is a rain out we will meeting on April 15 at 4:30 at the church.

Our pack meeting will be moved up one week in May to the 6th. Our original day is Mother’s day and we knew better than to leave it there.

May is also the last month to work towards your current year badge. Last day is May 31. On June 1st all cubs will be moved up to the next level. For instance all Wolves will become Bears. You can start working towards that next award at that time.

If you need help reach out to your den leaders now so you don’t miss getting that award by the end of the school year

Just looking at the pack calendar, there are plenty of den meetings and outings lined up. Check the calendar often for any changes and get with your den leader to for more information about those events. We should be meeting all the way through May.

There will be an active Pack calendar this summer and an opportunity for your child to get a head start of next years achievements at Cub Scout Day Camp. This will be held at Oak Mountain State Park from July 16-20. More information on that in the coming months.

Adult Leaders I havene’t forgotten about you. The following events are coming up and I encourage you to expand your Scouter knowledge by attend one or all of these events.

Thanks for your continued support and I look forward to our spring at Pack 95 Homewood.
