The cubs of Pack 95 went for a walk in the woods last weekend. Specifically then went to Red Mountain Park for a hike. We hiked to the top of Red Mountain to visit a favorite destination of ours, the Skyhy treehouse where we took a picture of the cubs. We worked our way down the mountain to the Redding Shaft Mine and then made our way back to the entrance of the park.

Along the way, we pointed out all the Eagle Projects that had been constructed in the park. We only saw a few of the many in the park. These included bridges, kiosks, benches and bat houses.

This hike was the second of two events the Pack has had during the month of July. Cubs who participated in either of these activities are eligible for the Summer Pack Award Pin. They need to attend an event in July and again in August.

Our next event is the Summer Soaker which will be held at Shades Valley Lutheran Church on July 9 from 9 am to 1 pm. More information on this event will be sent at a later time.
